Short Break - Disney for a long weekend

×

Short getaways are good for the soul! You can still go to Disney or connect with Bronwen for other ideas!

Overview

Disney is on the bucket list of most kids and kids at heart! While it may be busy and hot (at least in Florida and California) its open year round, so take a long-weekend and go in the 'quieter' times! October perhaps!?!

This itinerary is a long weekend to Disneyland, with access to Californialand and a day visit to Universal - just so you don't get bored at Disney ;-) It is totally possible to do this on a long weekend. Leave Thursday, come home Sunday afternoon.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Anaheim

Arriving into Orange County in the morning, meet your transfer to your Disneyland hotel, or nearby. There are many options for different budgets all within walking distance.

Upon arriving into Disney territory, pick up your tickets at the window and enter the 'happiest place on earth'. Tour around the park, and sample the rides. Make a plan of attack for a full day at Disney tomorrow. Consider downloading the app to find out about ride line-up times!

Day 2

Day at Disney

Start your day early. Head into the park and ride every ride until your heart is content. Consider popping over to California land to see what is on offer there - you have a Park Hopper pass so use it!

Day 3

Day at Universal Studio

Just when you think you have had all your thrills, you head to Universal studios. With your pre-arranged transfer, arrive at the park ready to explore, thrill seek and find the ride for your favourite movie! Discover Hogwarts, protect with the Transformers or get super-charged with the Fast and the Furious.

Day 4

Depart or optional extra day

Today you can either depart on your afternoon flight after a morning at Disneyland riding your favourite rides...

OR

Stay and extra day and enjoy your favourite rides at Disneyland and California land 3x times more. Let's face it, in two days previous, there are probably things you haven't experienced or missed, so you should do those today.

Day 5

Maybe it is time to leave

Although we could probably stay longer at the 'happiest place on earth' you can leave today content and knowing that you will be back to enjoy their next new ride soon! The parks are always expanding and improving, so another visit is a must.
