NAYEN - Whistler extension

Whistler extension pre-NAYEN conference

March 3rd-6th

With local Rotarian host

Welcome to a winter wonderland! With christmas lights up throughout the village in the winter and snow covering the ground, you have entered into a magical space.

For many Vancouverites, Whistler is their ski destination. One of North America's best ski resorts, the town welcomes skiers and snowboarders throughout the winter for some epic adventures. Downhill adventures are not the only activities. With museums and art galleries as well as several areas for cross country skiing and snowshoeing, everyone can find their own adventure.

Join us in Whistler to enjoy the resort before your NAYEN conference.

You will be hosted by Bronwen, local Whistlerite, Travel Advisor and Rotarian.

Connect with Bronwen (Travel Advisor and Rotarian) who will coordinate your travel and confirm you on this pre-conference excursion.

Arrive Vancouver and transfer to Whistler

Part of the beauty of Whistler is the scenic and beautiful drive up the Sea to Sky highway. After arriving at Vancouver airport, you will be transferred with other participants to your hotel in Whistler. When talking to Bronwen, she can assist with flight arrangements, or just give her your flight times and she will assign a transfer for you. We will have multiple throughout the day.

For the early arrivers, you will have some free time in the village before activities start.

Later this afternoon, you will meet your local Rotarian host and a local guide who will give you an orientation of the village and a bit of a history walk for 1 hour. Afterwards we will head up the mountain Snowmobile or Snow Cat for a dinner of fondue at crystal hut.

Day 2 - March 4, 2024

A day on Whistler Blackcomb

While in Whistler, why not head up the mountain for a ski or snowboard experience. Let Bronwen know if you require a ski or snowboard lesson, this can be added to your package. Ski rental and a one-day ski pass is included in your tour price.

After a day of skiing or snowboarding, your evening is at leisure. Talk with Bronwen in advance to make dinner arrangements. Bookings will be required!

Day 3 - March 5, 2024

An Olympic style day

Today we will head out of Whistler Village for a morning of cross country skiing or snow shoeing. The Callaghan Valley hosted many events during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. As you come up to the day lodge, you will notice the ski jumps and the various trails available for skiing and snow shoeing. This location is beautiful and peaceful. A great place to feel a part of nature!

Let us know if you would like a lesson for cross country skiing.

We will come back to Whistler Village early afternoon so that you can explore at your leisure. These evening we will host a fellowship event with the local Rotary Clubs.
